any downfalls to using this besides looking like crap?

I happened to have some laying around from a plumbing project, its 1/2" ID-3/4" OD

seems to be very strong to me, is it going to be "too strong"

I have a pc75, so I don't think Ill have to make many sharp bends

It doesn't bend very well, just get some decent tubing from mcmastercarr, I believe it is like 37 cents a foot or something for their MasterKleer Tubing.

I used it, and I hated it. did my CPU barb, and that took me 30 minutes... Then again, it was 3/8's over a 1/2" barb... I didn't like the fact that even though the tube was defenitately moldable, it didn't really seal well.

kinda mixed signals, but I think Ill go ahead and pick up some tygon from DD

its great, looks like crap, cheap, can be bought almost anywhere, i prefer tygon

Mcmaster.com #5233K44 10' was $8 shipped for me. This stuff bends so much easier than even regular Home Depot PVC tubing. If you really want to use that tubing, try dipping it in hot water or heating it up with a blowdryer to make it a little more flexible, and it'll hold its bent shape after it cools without putting so much torque on your components.
