AMD, you've done it again.
Being able to set the multiplier in the BIOS is dependent on the BIOS. Whether or not the CPU will listen to that setting is CPU dependent.

Yeah, but these locked bartons seem to just love a high FSB. Im at 215 right now at 1.7 volts and its flying and i bet there is still some room, maybe up to 225? But i doubt that high

yep, my new barton 2500+ is running 210 right now, but my memory is reallllly holding it back.. i guess i gotta swap it out with my dad's pc3200 samsung, but the timings are a lax 3-3-3.. maybe i can overvolt and tighten them just a little bit... :\
