Looking to upgrade my system, any suggestions or comments are welcomed. My specs are listed below, and i only have $400 (Canadian) dollars to spend. Was thinking about getting a new processor if that would help things out with regards to speed and performance. Thanks

As long as 80GB is all the HDD space you need, I'd suggest a processor and vid card upgrade. You could get an opteron 146 for about $190 (click) and then have $210 left for a vid card. With that, your best bet would probably be a geforce 6800GS, but it would be worth saving another $70-90 to get a 7800GT.

mash if he were to buy a new processor, he'd need a new mobo as well. I wouldnt bother upgrading the videocard as you wont be able to carry it over to your next system if you want to as it would be agp and your next system will more than likely be PCI-E. Maybe search around for a new processor for your mobo. Would be nice if you could find a P4C if there are still any around. I wouldnt get anything below 3.2 right now. If you went that route though, you might as well go ahead and get a new videocard as well though. But honestly, I say ride it out a little longer and build up your budget a little more.

If you upgrade your processor to an AMD 64, I would also recommend a new PSU.
