Boxee Box Build

Hey guys,

I'd like to build my own Boxee Box. http://www.boxee.tv/

They cost around $200 US. Would like to build my own atom based Boxee front-end for under that if possible!

I have the following already:
XFX 5670
Tons of DDR3
Intel-X25V 40GB SSD

Just need a case, atom board and a PSU I guess.....Been looking @ the Zotac Atom boards, want one with WiFi....any recommendations?
 
Are you using the Linux version of Boxee or the Windows version? Are you planning on watching Netflix?
 
Why not get a Zacate they outperform the atom (although the graphics support in linux might not be as good)

I have two issues with recommending a Zacate build:
1) Netflix HD support seems to be a hit or a miss with Zacate. Many people are reporting having trouble playing Netflix HD content and sometimes even regular Netflix content smoothly. With that said, more than likely this issue could be fixed with a simple driver/software update.

2) The aformentioned graphics support: Basically there might be a chance that the decoding of HD content will not happen under Linux as it would under Windows.

However the above issues can be fixed with software updates. Just dunno when though.

Anyway, HelioX, you might be better off just buying that Boxee Box rather than a DIY build if you want an Atom build for under $200. You're looking at $200 to $225 for a non-wireless Intel Atom with Nvidia ION setup and $230 to $255 for a wireless Intel Atom with Nvidia ION setup.
