are thay any good?
are thay worth the price over say a XP-90c or zalman 7700cu?
and what are some good ones that can be mounted in side your case?
 
i don't know a lot about current kits, but i can definately tell you that water is a great investment. at the very most with each upgrade cycle you have to upgrade your block, but some blocks can be adapted... i've been using the same basic kit for 4-5 years now, its an old leufken kit, i've upgraded my pump and block and replaced the tubing a few times, but i'm still using the same reservoir and the origional pump that came with it(running 2 in series), but its still the same basic kit.
 
well there was a kit i say in a review some were back a few months that had the pump and res in a single height 5.25" drive bay and a radiator that mounted to a rear fan or some thing like what i was thinking about
 
That would be the Kingwin kit, I think. It's a terrible performer as water kits go, but it is quieter and slightly cooler than air.

Not exactly like that. But if you want to go with a boxed set. Go for a Swiftech Apex kit and pick up a GPU block.

Little more money. But it'll keep you cool.

There are a couple of others. I can't remember their names, but they are basically identical. Look the same, perform the same.

There are kits from $90, like this one, all the way up to the $300 kit that Decibel is proposing. Figure out what you want, and how much you want to spend, then do your research.
 
doesnt have to be great and id like not to spend more then $200 not including tax or shipping
 
IMO you are better off going for a good air cooling heatsink than a cheap watercooling kit. The benefits if any from a cheap watercooling kit will not be worth the extra cost over a good traditional heatsink. If you are going to watercool, do it right and get a DIY kit (something like the Swiftech APEX).
 
Well then, have a look on Newegg and FrozenCPU and wherever else you buy your hardware, find out which kits are $200, and decide. You'll likely end up with either a Swiftech H2O or a custom kit. There are lots of resources in the stickies at the top of the forums to help you choose :)
 
well the thing is i know nothing about water cooling ^^;; last i messed with it was back in the Athlon 700 Slot-A days helping a friend watercool a TEC on a Athlon 600
