Bought used pc, stinks, need advise!

Hey everyone,

Bought a used pc on here in for sale forum. The guy failed to tell me it smells like an ashtray. Any advise to get out smell?

Lol.. Havent heard that one before... Go to staples buy some compressed air and the gel cleaner they sell.. Sometimes the gel cleaner is called lcd/led monitor cleaner.. I use tgis on the outsode of my cases cause its not "water" more like "jello" that way u can spray the whole case (for the most part atleast) down and wipe it up and not have to worry about it dripping thru the cracks and damaging the components...

Compressed air for the internals/fans if theres accumulated dust in there the smell is problably on the dust and stiff.. If theres alot u might need 2 cans of air..

lastly someone should invent a 120mm case fan for exhaust with some of that glade/febreze pluggin crap... Dont the wall outlet versions use a fan?

Yeah they do actually, thanks in went to Staples and bought some cleaning wipes, and air. Going to wipe it down and blow out the fans.

I got a old pc from a heavy smoker a few years ago, i tried use compressed air but i guess the smoke formed a stickey layer with the dust and stuck to everything, I had to q-tips and lots of time to clean the pc. Never did get all the smell to go away but it did help.
