bought an audigy LS, mic issues

I had my stuff working just fine until I put in this audigy LS... Now some times in ventrillo my mic puts out just static but when I use my computer to listen to it it's fine... audigy driver bug?

It was always muted, I checked it unmuted when people were reporting static on vent (and saw that it worked fine on my end).

Wow and now I get weird problems with it... in the midd of farcry and mp3s it fizzles and stops outputting sound...........
