Okay, I have been dcing for a couple of years now on my computer. However, after reading many posts here, I hear about borging computers to help the [H]orde. So, I was wondering a) what is borging and b) how do you borg? Thanks for the help!
 
borging is asking people to fold for you. It is usually achieved by sweet talk, demanding or amazing people with your 1337 computa skillz!
 
Oh, okay, I dun see the light now...hhhmmm..now who to sweet talk! I don't really care that much for my personal gain, got a long way to go to make anybody gawk at my stats...only been folding for a short while..in the process of doing my 4th WU, but I would like to not only help the [H]orde, but also contribute to the project in a larger way than I am now.

The crazy thing is Gwilya speaks the truth! Once that borging bug bites, you'll be trying to fold on anything you can get your mitts on! We've all seen it many times before, it starts small with a GF, or parents boxen, but then your stealth borging and before you know it, you have boxen everywhere that you have hit. :D

 
these guys are all a bit wrong. B0rging is when you install FAH on other people's computers. But when you install them, make sure you add 'magnusvir' as the user name. :D

Yea right magnus. That's called Poseur Borging. REAL borging is when you're hardcore enough to add Paul_Thurston (aka, me) as the user name. Not many people know that but it's true.
 
Extreme BORGING is when you put username as Zxcs, and it is the highest level of borg you can reach. :p
 
actually, i'd say that using "relic" as the username is the ultimate form of borg.

he's a bit short of 100 processors at the moment (only 45? where's the love?)
 
Is it bad that at random times while sitting in class I imagine what I could do with various computer combinations..ie: if I had 250 dual 3 ghz hyper threading systems I could run either 500 instances or due to hyper threading 1000 instances...not to mention have 1500 GHz of processing power...now if I could do that times 10 or even 100....wwwwhhaaaaaa...must get back to the real world!

Nope, its not bad, more or less what happens when you catch the borging bug! Now you just need to make that dream reality! :D

 
I got the bug and I don't care.
I've borged mine, my mom's, sister's, friend's, work's. Even a 550mhz HP that I was supposed to throw away.
Its all good, when I see my stat's slope and its anything less then 45 degrees, I know I need to step it up.
