So weird issue with my local borgs. I am useing FahMon to monitor them, and it seems that last night, the computers that i have FAH set up on as a service, all decided that they would report "Hung" yet when i go look at what the actual screen says, it says its still going. any ideas why its doing this?

I get something allong those lines aswell with my office borgs where fahmon simply cant find the comps over the network, re-establishing the connection using window explorer seems to fix it all up.

on another note, i just looked at my screen for the computer im on right now, and here is what it says:

How much did you estimate on kWh per month from your system?
Do you sell power back to the electric company?
What maintainance did the instalation company brief you on?
Total cost? (don't answer if you don't feel comfortable)
Who manufactured your panels and what efficiency are they?
How many sq. ft. is your house that your cooling or heating with electric?
Some of these are personal. Don't answer what you don't feel comfortable with. I have been looking at these systems for over a year now and just can't fit it into the budget yet.
here is the quick answer for you.
-Yes, in SoCal. plenty of sun. but remember, it still works when its cloudy out.
-They did not help, but i do get brakes on my morgage and taxes at the end of the year.
-Look at your power bill it will tell you, and then add a bit. we set up for 4.5kWh. if i need more, i could get it off the grid.
-and yes i do sell back the power. last months, they paid me $20. not much, but hey, i did not pay for power and i got some money from doing it. but granted it was hot here and i felt like running my AC 24/7
-monthly maintainance is making sure the panels are not cracked, keep them clean by washing them. they company we used will come out every other month to check the system, plus on call if it goes down.
-24K. a lot of money, but the value of our house went up 15K becasue of it. and will only go up more as power cost rise over the years.
-no idea who made the actual panels. i could clime up on my roof and look, but its 8:20 in the morning and i still need some coffee.
-house is 1900sq. ft, not including a detached 2.5 car garage that is cooled and is my work area, so i use a hell of a lot of power out there.
all in all the system is great. i have a few things in my house(besides washer and dryer) that are 220. like my compressor and plasma torch and welder. yesterday we had all three running at the same time, and the wife said she did not notice it inside the house. no lights flashing or dimming or anything like that.
and i can do the same at night thanks to the battery's that i have. now this was a interesting issue. you dont have to have them. you could run off the grid at night. but why would you want to. going with the battery set up i can run about as mush stuff as i do during the day. granted i dont think ill be running all the stuff in my garage at 2 in the morning. but i now do keep my folding boxen on all night with no problems. and i have checked the battery meter a few mornings when i get up and i still have about 50% left. so not to bad.

the batteries are set up next to the garage. the inverter was placed in the garage, along with the control panel. so right on the other side is the battery stack. we actually built a storage shed for them. looks like part of the house so that was nice. they wont do that, that was just something i wanted to do. the batteries are isolated from ground, for obvious reasons, in a weather proof shed. really out here we just have to worry about direct sun light hitting them. each battery is individually sealed with nice weather proof connectors on them. not like linking a bunch of car battery's together, thats for shore. stacked 4 hight, 4 wide and two deep. so 24 total.
really though, it does not take up that much room. if you have the space, go for it. it will run you up a bit of money though.
oh, and i stand corrected on one thing. i talked to the wife, since she handles all the money around here, and we did get the state to help pay for it. they did 26%. depending on state, county and whatnot depends on if they will pay for it. not to bed for the investment really.
