Borderlands: Looking For Peeps

New DLC is coming up, and wife and I looking for people (mature adults, but we don't give a shit if you're a little rowdy) to get together with.

I've a few lvl 61 toons, and we're both Borderlands freaks... never get sick of it... logged almost 200 hours on PC, and that was after both playthroughs on 360, lol.

Hope to meet some new people to enjoy some bug, skag and claptrap wars with... :D ...and farm the hell outta Craw some more. ;)

Also have the Armory open on one char I use the glitch on (if you don't know it, please ask so you don't screw me, lol).

If anyone is interested in finding others for Borderlands, want to lvl up a new char, some weapon trades etc. and have some adults to get together with, add me on Steam: v0rtic3s (that's a zero in my name, same as forum name).
 
Sounds good OP. You ever need a medic I got 2 lvl 61 Rolands that can handle that for ya. Got a gunslinger hunter up there 2 and I'm planning to get a siren up there before the 28th.

Unfortunately I can't really think of a good build to give her and thus I'm stuck at lvl 21 with her. Can't figure out if I wanna go elemental, mercenary, or phase/melee.

Well, I can help you with your Siren, certainly. Can lvl you up and let you know what build I run. I run my Siren(s) as elemental, with points in select other skills to increase weapon dmg, and have found my build to be the best in terms of dmg output and the most fun to run. Melee I stay away from.
 
i swear one of these days ill reinstall the game.. beat it on the 360 and just got bored with the game due the insanely anti-climatic ending to the main story line..

No doubt the ending was lacking, but in truth, I cant imagine getting bored with the whole game just due to that, as it's everything up until that point that's a thoroughly enjoyable experience to play.

You should reinstall it. ;)

I think the upcoming and last DLC is going to be a blast.
 
Just beat Crawermax solo with the Soldier, man that was a pain in the ass, now all I gotta do is try and complete all the armory missions and I'll be golden for the new DLC next week.
 
Nice, I'm still behind you guys (Level 57 Siren), but it would be cool to play sometime. I'll just grab your high-level loot. kthx. My steam name is zinn_x :)
 
my gf and I used to play, but we just got caught up with other games. I have two used PC copies laying around if anyone wants to pick them up we can make a quick deal.

that is, if you can resell borderlands, I don't recall having to register anything.

as long as its not registered on steam you should be able to resell them..

The DLC fixes it and it's way better on the PC in general.
 
I'm a level 61 Siren with maxed out proficiencies. All legit leveling and weapons. It took a shit load of solo Crawmerax runs to do it, but I can solo Crawmerax in less than 2 minutes now. I also have all of the DLC's, hit me up if anyone wants to play. I also have a 15 slot vent server we can chill in.
 
I'd be willing however I'm gonna be restarting a character..... plus i never finished... my PC was on standby for the last 3-4 months due to reality calling.... stupid reality!.
 
Since some experienced users are here - what level do you suggest for a sniper to solo Crawermax? I'm level 48 and just the minions beat my ass pretty good the 5 or so times I've tried. I've watched some youtube videos and I see some of the strats, but nothing specific for snipers.
 
My Brick's sitting somewhere around 46, tried to play the Knoxx DLC and got stuck when my car got destroyed in an area too high level for me. Being spawn-raped by AI was no fun, kind of took the enjoyment out of it for me. Got out eventually though, should probably get back into the game.

For any class that is not a Siren, level 61 no doubt. One hit by Crawmerax or his minions and almost all or all of your shield and half of your health is gone. This depends on how good of a shield you have. For a sniper, max out your pistol and sniper proficiencies.

To effectively solo him you will need a weapon that deals normal damage, one that deals electrical, corrosive, and fire. So one of each major element basically. This is for taking down Crawmerax's minions that come to attack you.

- The craw maggots (the fast moving skinny ones) are weak to electrical and melee damage.

- The green craw worms are weak to fire damage.

- The purple craw worms are weak to corrosive damage.

its probably because he changed his name at some point.. so he see's it as his current name but you have to know his original name to add him..


other note.. do you guys all play through steam or the lame gamespy shiot in the game? because i really dont feel like installing steam again..
 
Even if you have it on steam you gotta use the gamespy setup. I agree with it being lame.

ok cool.. may re-install the game later this week.. though i think im still missing one of the expansions just need to figure out which one..

...exactly. I build her gaming systems and we've two 360's as well, so we can always play together. ;) We're mainly PC gamers though, so I've always got two gaming rigs, we both have our own copies of games and Steam accounts, so there ya go. ;)

Looking forward to the DLC and getting together with some new people.

Farming Craw tonight all night just for fun with the wife, so if you want to join, just make sure you're logged into Gamespy if you want an invite.

For some odd reason, I cant send any messages to anyone via Steam when I'm in-game (alt+tab out). Glitch? Don't know if them being in-game would have the same effect. I don't remember having problems doing that until now, unless I'm losing what's left of my mind.
Might have to start adding Gamespy names in-game to make things easier when people are already in-game to join one another.

I think for Borderlands it would be good to list both your Steam and Gamespy names and add people in-game via their Gamespy names. Easier to see and invite people into game directly through Borderlands, use Steam to communicate. Probably best, since you cant search for server names directly.

any of you guys still playing? I finally got around to getting all the expansion pack's. if anyones playing at all tonight pm me (cant install steam since windows wont let me uninstall it after my game drive died)
 
Hmm...my wife has been wanting a new game to play since we haven't been on TF2 as much. She also likes loot as well as shooting. Maybe we should start doing this together.
 
its a fun game if ya got 2 systems. play on lan together going through all the missions. definitely worth it. if you two played TF2 together you'll already be use to the cartoony feeling of borderlands. took me a little longer to get use to it after spending so much time playing realistic FPS's.
