Bootvis trouble, system freezing up

When I open bootvis, and tell it to do a trace and driver delay on next restart, it restarts my computer, but then it hangs/freezes up. This happens at different times. Sometimes it won't make it to the Windows loading screen, sometimes it makes it there and freezes, sometimes it even boots windows fully, and will freeze a minute or so into my normal usage. Even if I boot in safe mode, this happens. I remember this also happened last year before I reformatted. Eventually, I end up getting lucky and it will boot up. Does anyone have any idea what is going on here? Oh, if it helps any, I'm running XP Pro, with 1GB of DDR400, on an XP2400+, with a Western Digital 80GB IDE drive. I feel I do a pretty good job of keeping the system clean (run Spybot, Adaware, CCleaner, McAfee, etc. regularly)

Edit: I can post the Bootvis results, I simply didn't want to post the entire huge set of graphs. If there are any graphs in particular that would help out, just let me know and I'll post them up.

Hmm, I wasn't aware of that, thanks for the heads up. It does make sense that the computer does the same thing automatically anyway. I mean, why would Microsoft invest the time in making a program like that for XP, and then not actually include it in the retail versions..
