Bootable Linux OS on CD + Prime95?

I seem to recall reading of a way to install a Linux distro to a bootable CD, such that you can install Prime95 to it and have a bootable way to test an overclock without risking your primary OS install.

Anyone recall a link to how to do this?

And - a bigger question - does this method of testing support multiple CPUs? Interested in testing an AMD X2 overclock...
 
id like to know this too.... would be a nice way to look at linux as well!
