Well im not sure if this belongs in OS'es or General Hardware but I'll give it a shot....

I just installed another 256mb stick of sdram to make the total 512mb. The computer will post, go into Lilo/Grub and i choose windows. From there, the computer just restarts itself. I have tried every option in the Advanced Boot Menu.

I can run mandrake linux fine...thats how im posting this

Oh, I also installed a USB 2.0 PCI card while i was putting the new RAM in.

Is the problem the RAM, the USB card, or Windows.

My system stats are:
P3 Coppermine 857MHz 512MB SDram Intel 810 chipset
GEforce2 MX400 and all the other crap...yes I know the comp sucks..
TIA:)

try different slots... also - memtesting won't hurt for sure... you could also try reinstalling windows, but I don't think you're considering this option :p
