Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
when i start my pc winxp does not boot up it gives me an error
/windows/system32/config file is missing or corrupt
go to recovery console to repair
how do i rectify the error
1. Boot the system up with the windows xp CD (as others suggested)
2. Move your way through until you get to REPAIR
3. Use the recovery console
4. Login to your winnt installation
5. Do a cd \winnt\system32\config
6. Do this:
ren system system.old
ren system.old system
exit
If you do that, it usually fixes the fragmentation of the registry w/o losing anything. If that doesn't work, give us more information. When was the last time you made an ERD and backed up the registry?
