Boot Loop

Hi,


Haven't posted in a long time but my current PC boot loops. Fans start then dies starts again, It does this multiple times but sometimes it boots on first try. No motherboard beep.

What do I need to check?

Sorry for the lack of details. Here's it is:

Core i5-3450
Gigabyte B75M-D3V (F13 bios)
2x4GB G. Skill 1600 CAS11
PowerColor HD7770
Seasonic M12II 520W
WD Caviar Blue 500GB
Samsung 850 EVO 250GB (recently added, boot loop started before adding this)
Corsair 300R

Windows 7 Ultimate

Don't know if this helps but when it boot loops USB ports don't work properly. If it starts on first try it can use flash disks.

When it loops it doesn't get to any screen just fans and HDD turns on then die.

Asus mobo's will stop and start fans twice if an overclock fails! The biggest reason I have had with boot loop restarts have been memory related,but I would suggest you try the old standard steps. Re seat all the components, try booting with just mobo/cpu/PS/on-board graphics and 1 memory stick . Run MemTest 86+ with all sticks then 1 stick at a time if you have a failure (confirms failure is stick or slot). Use a PS tester on yours or swap out to a known good one. Swap out to a known good graphics card. Try booting to "Safe Mode" to check if it might be a driver problem.

Exactly as he said, but could also be a dead motherboard/ dead psu. Try what he said, then try starting with a new psu.

Let us know what you find :)
 
I've re-seat all the cables. I don't have a bunch of extra components lying around. Anybody got an idea?
 
boot loops in all my cases are always related to RAM, but not always due to faulty RAM, sometimes it's due CPU cooler. if you are using an aftermarket cooler sometimes they can be overtight and bend enough the motherboard to cause problems with the RAM.
