Ok guys, up at my work and at a computer that needs to be brought back, but cant be reformated, help me out

One day we restarted it and we get the following error:

Boot Failure
Insert BOOT diskette in A:
Press any key when ready

running WinXP - so I tried a boot to cd to try a repair and it claimed there was now hard drive, yet the bios has 2 160gb as Master and Slave...... help me out guys!
