Boost mode on standard PS4?

Is Boost mode enabled only for the PS4 pro or will the Standard PS4 benefit from it?

By design it is PS4 "pro" exclusive. the way it works is the ps4 pro is clocked 14% faster that the regular ps4 and all the boost mode does is allow the "pro" to run at that higher clock on games that weren't otherwise patched for the ps4 pro.

There is nothing the regular ps4 can do to "boost" .

There are four important differences between the pro and non-pro. 1) Double the compute units (36 vs 18). 2)CPU at 2.1GHz vs 1.6GHz. 3) GPU at 911MHz vs 800MHz. 4) GDDR5 bandwidth at 218GBs vs 176GBs. The boost mode on Pro takes advantage of the last three items.

Unfortunately in order to take advantage of the doubled CUs, the title has to be patched by the developer.
