I've been consistently picking up the 45XX wu's on my farm boxen for the last few days:)

Worth ~125 to 175 points and finishing frames in less than 20 minutes!!!

Anyone else seeing any of these? Just curious, and rather pleased actually......sure beats the killer 10 pointers I had been getting recently....

I started getting these on my P4 1.8 for ~100 PPD. That being said, the 10 pointers were giving me that too, so I'll take any of those. The older units were only giving me about 60 PPD on that rig for a while.

My Athlon XP 1900+ is getting anywhere from 130 to 180 PpD on them depending on unit. This box usually sees 60-100PpD.

Hope they're still around after the Chimp Challenge.

Pshh, I've got the ultimate bonus WU right here:

Awesome, huh? Too bad these aren't SMP units. I'm sure we could get at least a few PPD out of them. I really am loving the 0.39 though.

Oh and don't worry about the username on that one, all the SMP clients are folding for the challenge.

Can anyone help explain how the SMP client points translate into PPD please?
In around 4hrs I have done 110,000 steps / 22%, whats that worth in Plunders Per Day :) ?

Which unit are you working on? There are many different units out there that take different amounts of time, have a different point value, etc.

Maybe you can help me find out, I have no idea!
Let me know what to look for pls :)

This is an extract from my current worklog in case that helps:

We need to know the WU #.

Thats looks to be about an 18 hour WU, post the # and we can figure out how many PPD it would be.

What we're looking for is the line you see in hilited here:

We need to know the WU #.

Thats looks to be about an 18 hour WU, post the # and we can figure out how many PPD it would be.

I cant find any reference to a WU or # in the SMP clients DOS window.
The only #'s are those I posted above, there are no other # symbols in the whole log and no identifying numbers other than my User ID.
Am I looking in the wrong place?

You are correct, it will take about 18hrs to complete.

edit:
Would this be it?
Project: 2653 (Run 3, Clone 41, Gen 59)

Thanks :)
I downloaded FahMon and it says I currently have 2402.77 PPD and 1760 credits.
PPD is higher than I was expecting as I read earlier that we were lagging team #1 by around 2,000 PPD and assumed that a lot of machines would be required to achieve that.

Can you explain what credits are and how they relate to PPD pls?

The credit is how many points the WU is worth. Different WU's are worth different amounts of points based on how long they take to complete. The value is determined by running a WU on the benchmark machine.

PpD (points per day) is an average of how many points you are averaging. PPD can be used to show your overall production, how well a particular machine folds, or even how well it folds on a particular WU. It will vary from machine to machine, and even WU to WU on the same machine. Stanford tries to benchmark fairly, but it rarely turns out well. :D
