Bonneville 77

Hello.

I am looking to build a watercooling system, and I want to put a Bonneville '77 in it for the rad. However, I have no tools or w/e, and it would be an extreme hassle since I'm at a boarding public school, and I HIGHLY doubt that they would let me use a propane torch anywhere near school grounds.

So, is there anyone with a modded Bonneville (that I will be able to hook 1/2" tubes up to, or 3/8" if NECESSARY) that would be willing to sell or mod themselves and sell...

I will pay for shipping, the heatercore itself, and a moderate extra (amount TBD). Some experience with at least one home modding would be appreciated. I don't need fans, but I do need a shroud too. Please make sure the Bonneville is copper.

Thank you to anyone that's interested.

Yeah, I looked at his site. But are those Bonnevilles? There is no name...

There's no name on DangerDen's site either, just "heatercores"

Well, I think they are - but you could PM the guy and ask him. He seems to be an active poster, but might not appreciate the direct question in his FS/T Thread...

first one is a 302 (77 b'ville with ac) - check the overall dimensions, the number of fin rows and the tank design.
dd core is a 199 (77 b'ville without ac) overall dimesions are a giveaway as well as the number of fin rows...plus, I had to work on one not that long ago and it still had the GDI sticker with the model number on the bottom tank. :p

side note on copper cores -- almost all cores (since the GDI buyout of fedco if not before) are made with brass and copper - they have copper fins but the tanks and sides are brass or copper plated brass. No big deal as the cooling difference between them is so small that it is on the verge of immeasurable.

edit: the only real concern (if you intend to mod your own) is that some of the brass sided ones have crimped in tubes that are a royal PITA to remove (as in they require a dremel with cutoff wheels, a torch, a hacksaw, a tap and a special out-of-term congressional hearing before they will come out)
