I was playing around with BOINC and it seems that my 5770 isn't supported there either. After a few searches and driver updates, I stumbled over the info that the 5770 is not Double precision capable and therefore not suported in Milkyway@home. Am I reading this right?

In my messages it keeps saying Double precision gpu required and doesn't download a wu.

There really doesn't seem to be any DC lovin' for the radeon...

Hmm. . . Thats interesting. I wasnt aware of this. :( I browsed the MW@home message boards a little and it seems that the info in the link you posted is correct. The 5770s dont have DP precision to save costs on the GPUs.

On a good note, Collatz should work with this card. Nitrobass24 is using one in that project. :)

that makes no sense if the 5750 works in collatz since its a double precision only boinc project as well.. and it also wouldnt save or cost ATI money to run double precision anyways since it runs on the same hardware as single precision just slower..

Collatz seems rather, well boring. I want to find aliens or cure cancer or something. :)

I was really hoping to jump into M@H with both feet so to speak. f@h has gotten boring to me. The only way to really ramp up is to throw some cash at it which isn't an option for me atm. I just wanted to look at a different stats page for a bit.

I just wanted to make sure there wasn't a work around before I looked for something else.
