I'm planning to hook up a new computer I'm building to the BNC input on my Sony G500, but an unsure in shich pattern the connectors attach. Red, green, and blue are clearly marked, but the other two lines are colored black and white, and on the back of the monitor they are marked Vertical and Horizontal.

Anyone know which is which? Black vertical, white horizontal, etc?

You'll notice on your cable, they are in order on how the plug in. It goes rgb then black then white. so plug the black into the plug next to the blue, plug the white into the last connector.

I thought the same thing when I first hooked my monitor up with bnc, and was like wtf. Then i thought, they would order the cable correctly according to the connections, and it never failed to work.

The lines aren't ordered on the cable, they come out in a bunch with a little bit of heat wrap around them. I hooked it up like you said and got a no signal, just just reversed the black and white and now it works.

Thanks.
