Anything to try? Using dell E173FP 17in flat screens, tried running 8x6, 10x7 and the default 1280x1024

Dont know, Did you turn on Clear Type yet. All of my E173FP 17in flat screens at work are damn sharp....

I know it comes with WinXP. But when I was running Win2k, I had to have a thirdparty software to do that. Not sure what it was called though, sorry. I am sure someone on this board remembers....

didn't work :( I'd really like to find a program for win2k if anyone knows of one, thanks for your input.

analog, since we don't have the money to update all our video cards to dvi. I still don't think it should be this bad tho using an analog connector.

It wouldn't be the analog connection: I'm on an E171FPb with analog and text displays fine. My suggestion is to update your video drivers, and make sure you're using the correct monitor profile from Dell.

or get a better video card, older nvidia's are known for blurry ass text
