Bluetooth Stuttering issues

I'm using This Bluetooth 4.0 USB adapter for my PC to stream audio to a Tivoli Model One radio and getting major stuttering issues.

The Tivoli uses BT 2.1 while the adapter uses BT 4.0 which is backwards compatible with 2.1.

I do not get the same stuttering with my Android phone when streaming via BT v3.0 with A2DP.

Any recommendations for a good USB Bluetooth adapter that will stream without stutter? The PC is about 12 feet away from the radio, in the same room. I could use the phone but I'm able to stream @ 192kbps on the PC vs 64kbps on the mobile.
