Bluetooth Stacks and Adapters
Recently picked up a Rocketfish Micro Bluetooth USB Adapter RF-MRBTAD
It uses the standard Broadcomm WIDCOMM drivers.
HOW with windows vista can you RE-CONNECT to an already paired bluetooth device?
(ie passcode already installed etc without RE-PAIRING it
every time and re-setting it up??!?!?!
With a friends built in blue-tooth machine,
he turns on his mouse and it re-connects automatically....
With another machine which has a bluetooth device
that uses the toshiba bluetooth stack I right mouse on the device
listed under bluetooth and chose CONNECT. Works great....
I tried LEGO-NXT and WIIMOTE bluetooth devices. Same behavior.
Need to do RE-PAIRING every time and set it all up
every time I want to connect. Tech support said:
Never turn off your device (LOL! Ever heard of batteries?
They also suggested using BlueSoleil instead.)
It wouldn't detect the Rocketfish Bluetooth USB Adapter at all....
Is this device just JUNK?!
I did notice
http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1429921&highlight=bluetooth+windows7
and although not listed in the specs, many inidcate it may support
Win7 x64 decently.
Are there better drivers for BLUETOOTH than the Broadcomm WIDCOMM?
ARE there BETTER USB BLUETOOTH ADAPTERS and stacks right now
(Real win7 support always nice I suppose too).
