bluetooth headset problems

I am using a bluetooth headset for game comunication and so on. It was working fine then all of a sudden i get tons of static as if the volume on the thing is set at 100% but its not. Anyone know of any setting in windows that i could maybe change this?
 
I too have a Bluetooth headset (Motorola HS850) and I actually can't get it to work with HL2 or CSS. As far as I can get, I just use it for my cell phone and for the program Skype which I can have running in the background while I play games.

As to your static, it might depend where your bluetooth receiver is and if it's a high quality one (and I guess if your headset is high quality as well).
 
it worked fine before and now all of a sudden its pushing out static all the time. And this starts once i connect my bluetooth device. THe adapter is maybe 2-3 feet away from me so signal is good. I uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled it. Messed around with the sound settings. I have no clue why its doing this
