Ok, here's the deal. I now have a bluetooth enabled PC (2 of them to be exact) so I'm looking for a decent pair of bluetooth headphones to use so I can lose the wires. I'm hoping you ladies and gents have some recomendations or headphones you've used in the past with your experiences.

I'm looking for the following:
  • They must be usable without a special transmitter. IE a regular bluetooth dongle/internal antenea etc.
  • The ability to be used with a cell phone is a plus but not necessary
  • The audio quality MUST be at least on par with normal headphones. No AM quality mono crap
  • Built in mic for VoIP funcions is another plus but again not a necessity

That said, help me out here.

your not going to find one, every single pair I've tried, every SINGLE person I've talked to has the same problem. They cut in and out and sound like crap.

Goodluck, and if you find something let me know.

Well I did find a pair that work for what I was wanting headphones with a mic for and an added bonus.

Anycom's BSH-100 headphones.

The Good: They have a mic that plugs into the USB charging port and the audio quality is decent. I wanted a set for my iMac so that when I'm on WoW I can sit back comfortably without having extra wires hanging all over the place. I can hear my friends on Vent just fine and they can hear me better than with the built-in mic on the iMac. I did not experiance any cut outs or lost sound bits the 3+ hours I used them out of the box. I also did not charge them first.

They charge either with the included AC Adaptor or from the comp via the USB cable and can be used while charging but the mic won't be usable since it plugs into the charging port. The battery is removable and if you had another one and the charging station, you can swap them.

Phone-wise I connected it to my Blackberry 7100i and the quailty was quite acceptable. No echo, no cutting in and out and I could talk normally

The Bad: Man are these things flimsy feeling. They're supposed to fold up for easy storage/travel but the headband feels like it could twist 180 degrees without snapping. Also the gap between the foam pads and the headband pinches my ears so they're not too fun to wear after a couple of hours. For voice chat, they're great, for music THEY STINK. There's no treble and all base. It's like listening to music in a tin can. I also have not had much luck pairing them with both my phone AND computer at the same time but it may be my phone.

Bottom line: I paid $70 bucks for these including shipping. Not bad in my opinion since they accomplish what I wanted in the first place. Good music quality would have been nice but I have a pair of Logitechs (that require a special transmitter) for that. For voice chat, VoIP, etc. they're great. The swappable battery is a nice touch that other more expensive headsets I looked at didn't include.

So there you go, I found a headset on my own.
