First my computer started restarting by it self then it just started giving me this message

I tryed formatind tryed taking my cards out of my computer nothing work it does work when i disable my L2 Cash (wont install windows but goes farther then with it enabled)
i tryed every thing i know this message pops up when you added a new hardware and some thing is wrong with a driver but this system worked as it for 2 years

Downloadg memtest and see if your RAM's up to snuff anymore.

This message can be caused by a variety of hardware problems, but I like to target memory first.

Also, test the CPU with something like cpuburn or running the Prime95 torture tests.
 
but hey man i can't get to windows and i got 3 sticks of ram in this system and tryed taking them out one by one nothing was wrong with it
 
You can either try raising the chipset voltage or the Vdimm.....but test them all first with memtest86 at default configurations.......

:) Hello again so i'm still doing this test it's doing it for already 26 hours and it passed 56 and errors 21 what does this mean and what shell i try doing next
 
it means your ram is bad (well, not really bad, just doesnt all work right, if fact it may only be one stick).. if its a quality brand, you can most likely get it exchanged for some new ram.
 
I'm having the exact same problem with a machine that I am working on and it is not RAM related. It passed 5 or 6 passes of memtest with no errors. I have also tested the hard drive and removed all non-essential expansion cards.

The Microsoft knowledge base is totally useless concerning this problem. Anyone have more suggestions for me?
 
I resolved the problem. What I finally found it to be was the onboard LAN controller. the connection was disabled in windows, but I had to disable the controller in BIOS and do a repair install to get it working again.

BTW, the repair install was NOT what resolved the issue, it just got windows booting again. Two previous repair installs led to the same error message.

*to everyone troubleshooting the BSOD* Slow down and READ. He's getting errors in memtest, his memory system has problems. Your not helping.

ve39, OK, your getting errors, but that doesn't mean your RAM is bad, it's likely, but not definate. The errors mean your memory SYSTEM has problems. Each stick of RAM, the mobo, and to a degree the processor could be bad, now you need to ID the bad part. At this point you know your dealing with a hardware problem, not on OS issue. The OS issue is a symptom, not the problem.

1. Turn of ALL overclocks in the system.
2. Test all RAM one stick at a time. If they all pass it's the combination of the sticks your using.
3. Once you have IDed a 'potentialy' bad stick(s) of RAM, it's time to test it in another computer (your mobo or CPU could have introduced the errors). If it still test bad, RMA it.

Let us know the results and we can go from there.

Yes it is, why? Because this error could be bad drivers (3rd party), or, "memory errors," which includes nearly every piece of hardware in the computer (RAM, mobo, CPU, HDD, power). ;) PIA of an error.
 
I never overcloked this comp and i didn check ram it's good same as all other components so every thing left is mother board and cpu well i'm just wondering what could cost this to happend i remember before this happend i had 4 hard drives and i was switching them from one to another another thing is my cpu fan wasn't cleaned so it gave me temperature of 45 cleaned it it bacame 21

So you checked the RAM in another PC with memtest86 and it works?

If so, you mobo is the most likely suspect, but it could be bad power or CPU. Have to replace them to check at this point.

As far as what caused it, depends, but most likely it's just the equipment's time to go. Finding the exact cause of a hardware failure is not always easy. Could be a voltage spike, or ESD if you handle your parts a lot.

Sorry if I'm not understanding your english is a little rough. ;)
 
Sorry guys but with out switching cpu and motherboard is there any way i can find out which is bad ? may be it's some hting elsy

If you can get good tests with one stick, over a period of time, it's fair to say the mobo/CPU are OK. Replace the sticks that produce errors with only one stick in the system when you test.

5.5 months, since last reply, talk about a thread from the dead. :eek:
 
well i tryed every thing exept changing cpu and mobo this comp really piced me off so i got read of it so it wouldn't come back in 5 months again
