I have a Sony Z1VGP laptop with an ATI Mobility Radeon 16MB, and everytime i run 3d games, my laptop crashes with Blue Screen. Unfortunately i am unable to see the error because the screen goes away really quickly. I have searched the Sony site and have found no drivers for the ATI mobility and also on the ATI website. Any ideas?

Also disable the reboot on bsod option. Right click my computer- properties-advanced tab- Startup and recovery settings- uncheck automatically restart.

The you can see the BSOD and get the detals. Also check the event viewer for the past BSODs.

it says

"The Problem seems to be caused by the following file:ati3d1ag.dll

PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA"

What can i do to fix this?

That error is most likely bad driver, but could be a host of things. We need a little more info, Get the STOP: information. This link is also good genenral info on BSODs.

http://www.microsoft.com/technet/winnt/bsod.htm

I would start by downloading the current driver, then remove your device from device manager and load the new driver manually, pointing to the download. You may try running that error through Sonys support site for that model, it may be a common error, but I doubt it. Good luck.

did the lap top come with the ATi driver disk with catalyst? if so unistall all the ATi stuff on your laptop and reinstall it all, i had that problem with my 9800pro and that fixed everything, god damn new drivers...lol

Drivers most likely. There is a tool that converts current cats drivers into mobile drivers. I think you can find all your info in the forums of www.rage3d.com.
