Dose anyone know what I could do with just over 1m of blue EL wire? I bought it ages ago but I stupmed on what to use it for.

EL wire generally sucks, it's not that bright

The best thing I've ever thought of using EL wire, is for like a molding type thing between drive bays and in cracks of compters. That's about all they're good for. It gives it a "neon sign" type effect. The best way to get it to stay in the cracks is with hot glue, which is easy enough to remove and lets the light shine through if u mess up a little bit.

Give that a whirl and see what u come up with.

Coil of braid it around the wiring, those wires will look badass! Or mayble like a gay parade.

Well I have just braided a rail of my PSU so ill try coiling it round it and see how it looks.

You could use it to make the underside of your keyboard glow. there is a tutorial some where out there on the net. Can't remember where though. Or possibly the underside of you case. Just some ideas. :D

I meant something like this. That cable comes with EL wire under the plastic already, but should look similar without the encasing plastic. I prefer fluorescent paint and a CCFL to make wires glow, but then again, i would just hide the wires in the first place.

Take a look at PS-RagE's tower case. EL wire around the fan holes look nice.

Twisting it round the IDE's had occured to me but they are all hidden, who's case? Linky?

Most people (myself included) would prefer the hide the IDE cables as much as possible. There are more than one way to skin a cat, but this is how it's generally done: You get an extra-long IDE cable. You make it go down and loop around the motherboard. Then it goes in the hole you drilled in the mobo tray, around the mobo tray, comes back out on top near the drives, and goes into a drive (goes into another right away, if there are two).
