I just recieved my raidmax case and it already has room for 7 fans, I am currently cutting out the stock fan grills on the case......im just wondering should i make a blowhole or not? im thinking that i cant return the case or anything so i might as well. I will be running a p4 2.8c in the case and i will be doing slight overclocking and mostly folding.....but my main goal is to have my comp running as cool as possible, will a blowhole lower the temps even more?
thanks

Blowholes help you temps... I dont know how much they will since you have 7 fans and all. But i do know that people have had good results with them...

I have a blow hole myself but i never really tried my temps before the blowhole so i couldnt say.

Removing the stock fan grills should help a lot. Some of the stock cutouts leave so much material to restrict flow and create turbulence (noise). I wonder if they don’t do it to keep some EMI rating or something. That, or they fear that removing any more fan grill material will weaken the case too much.
With 7 fans I doubt you’ll have any need for a blowhole to remove stagnated hot air from the top of the case.

there are some reasons you need a blow-holw

A. your a modder and you posted here, and its a mod, you must do it.

B your already cutting whats one more hole

C. you have 7 fans, so thats either 3 in and 4 our or 4 out and 3 in, 4&4 is a much better solution

D. done well they can look cool

E. pullin hot air from what is usualy dead space at the top of the ps.

good luck happy modding, get us some pics if you can or atleast a link to this big assed case, thanks
