Honestly I don't think it'd make a considerable difference to install a fan directly over the psu, but I could be wrong. Should I stick to the middle, over the psu, or possibly both?

No need to put it over the PSU, Theres already a fan there to help it cool. Put it in the middle it'll help get rid of the hot air more easily.

Thanks for the response, that's what I figured would be best, just wanted another opinion. Oh, are the fans in Antec PSUs connected by standard molex, just internally?

It depends on the case as well. Generally the middle works and looks better.

128 POST LIMP GAWD NOW kick ass haha been a lurker cheese for 2 years just this year i decide i shall post

No, they are probably 2 pin connector inside the power supply, similar to what most panaflos come with (if you have ever seen one)

You could probably change the whole 'tail' just disconnect it on the fan side, and swap out the fans (I assume that is what you are trying to do)

It would make more sence to put the bolw hole in the middle becouse than the hot air from the case would go out thought there and have less restriction to get out thought the hole. And anyway as it was said before theres allready a fan in the PSU to keep it cool.

This is the psu (so two fans in the psu), and the case is the standard Antec w/ 4 5.25s and 2 3.5s. The fans in the psu are nice, but I was wanting to replace them with led fans instead of replacing the power supply to make it look prettier, heh.

Not getting a clear visual on what you meant for the connectors, link up some pics if you would?
