Blow hole 1 or 2

Maybe just put on 120mm blowhole on top, which will move as much air as two 80mm ones.

Besides, I just did this myself recently with a lian-li pc69b and space gets tight up near the top of the case, with a fan sandwiched between the psu and cd drives.

I probably have the smallest ATX case on the market, and my 120 fan fits with an Antec PSU mounted right and a DVD drive in the top slot. I have about 2 cm between each box and the fan. Since the fan is only 25 mm (1 inch) thick, The CD Drive's power and cable plugs are below the fan's threshold and have plenty of room. You should be able to fit one with no problem, as long as you measure carefully and make SURE. :)

measure twice, cut once...

Or get something like an Antec 3700amb/bqe that is manufactured to utilize 120mm fans.

I have a 3700amb and cut the fan grills off. with 2 120mm fans in there my case temp stays at room temp...nice case for airflow if you clean your cables up.

i have that exact case and have a 120mm on the top of it

just note though, putting a 120mm on the top leaves VERY little room for error (with the psu and drives), theres about 1cm between the psu and fan, and drive and fan

but it keeps the case at a steady 27C (with a panaflo 120 m1a)

Okay thanks a lot for your suggestions i guess i just put a 120mm fan for the top blowhole about the 1cm, how difficult would you say it was to install because this will be my first one

It's easy if you go buy a Dremel and some REINFORCED cutting bits. Let me say that again: REINFORCED. The reinforced ones use fiberglass threads in the structure, so they don't wear down as fast as the regular ones. I've worn down a regular bit in 25-30 seconds of cutting case steel at the highest speed (which is necessary). Buy the Variable speed Corded tool, because the variable speed will allow you to do low speed polishing and such, but you can cut at hyper-speed to make it much easier. Just measure with a 120mm grill for reference, masking tape 2 or 3 layers around every surface you're cutting (this will prevent splitting/flaking of the paint, and melting if you have a fancy-paint case with a clear coat and all like me.) Cut a little inside the line, to leave room for error, and GO SLOW. A good 120 hole will take 20-30 minutes to cut right. If you do it right and take your time, it will look great and you can show it off to your friends. If you rush and screw up, you'll get laughed at. :p (Kidding) Cut at the highest available speed, but don't plunge the bit down into the cut and grind away, make small cuts and keep the RPM's high. If it starts to grind down, take it out and let it spin back up. I don't have to mention to take EVERYTHING out of your case, because metal shavings are death to electronics. If you're cutting plastic, use lower RPM's to prevent the plastic from melting and fusing around the cut. After you get done making the rough hole, it won't look to great. Cut off any hanging steel (carefully so you don't scratch the beautiful case) and take a grinding bit and work at the edges, or if you have lots of room between the cut and the actual size you want it, put that cutting bit back in there and use it as a grinder, but make sure you hold it at an angle so you don't shear off the top screw that holds the cutting wheel in there. There will be LOTS of sparks in all of this, so wear safety glasses/sunglasses and maybe gloves the whole time.

EDIT: Tape a grill over the top of the hole (properly aligned) and use a drill to make the holes for mounting the fan. The dremel's drill bit tended to jump up and down and make lots of vibration. A metal cutting drill bit in a nice High-RPM drill will do much better.

Remember the modders mantra: Measure twice, cut once.

Use masking tape around the perimeter of all cuts.

Take your time, and have fun!

You'll end up with a blowhole that lowers your case temps, increases performance, and looks sweet!

Good luck!

Thanks a lot man that last post was a real help it was a great help and thanks for taking the time out to write that, thanks a lot.
