Blocking acces to an ip range

I'm running winxpsp2, and a linksys befsr41 router. IS there anyway i can do this with what i have? if no what do i need? sorry for the brievety of my question but i hope you folks get the gist.

both i think, i'd like my computer to think that this range of ips does not exist.

 

[ipconfig /all]

Add a bad route to the subnet.

On XP you could use the Route command.

>route add 192.168.36.0 mask 255.255.255.0 127.0.0.1 -p
