Cause WoW arena is all about gear and class makeup rather than anything resembling skill.
 
I've finally got around to watching the WoW-related content. It looks like the new continent will be pretty big and will restrict flying until the cap. It looks really detailed and intricate so far, but its a matter of time before we see if all that area will be utilized or not.
 
During the lore session (my favorite part of the conference by far), they said that the soulstones weren't the kind of thing you'd want laying around, which tells me you'll be fighting the 3 prime evils again. Seeing the prime angels of the high heavens was AMAZING as well. My inner network guy was cracking up at the Angel of Fate, Itherael.

Lots of people asking about Diablo taking a feminine form and maybe it's Leah.

That being said, I'd pay money to watch a Chris Metzen motivational speaking session. The guy has an amazing energy and I totally dig his artistic styles. I bought the original Diablo and Starcraft just because the manual for Warcraft 2 was so epic with his art and writing.
 
Wow .. the expac sounds just down right terrible. And talents being radically changed also sounds just nothing like WoW ... I guess WoW has finally managed to jump the shark.

No reason for me to keep messing around then. I don't mind the panda's (they are apart of the lore so make fun all you want , they've been known for a while now) but fucking with the talents like that and not repairing the broken ass shit that just makes the game unplayable now just seals the deal for me.

I have a crazy idea...

What if Azmodan gets the black soulstone and becomes so powerful that the player can't stop him without the help of.. dun dun dun DIABLO! Diablo, of course, doesn't want Azmodan to become a prime evil, so after the player somehow summons Diablo, Diablo helps the player defeat Azmodan. I don't know where it would go from there, though.. lol
 
Apparently the Prime Evils believe the corruption of humanity is the key to defeating Heaven...so they would seem to have an interest in keeping the wannabe-Prime Evils from wiping humans out.
 
I like the idea of challenge modes in MoP. Gear is fixed and cant be overpowered and you're ranked based on performance (dungeon competion time). The reward is "sweet looking gear with no stats" lol. This is intended for the transmogrification feature.

I don't remember them talking about that, but it does make sense. Especially now that the suposed destruction of the worldstone means that the dormant angel/demon genes will start manifesting themselves.

Oh and it would also explain how the Lesser Evils have been trying to overthrow the Prime Evils. I hope it turns out to be something like this.
 
I just canceled my WoW subscription (again). The news of this expansion is absolutely terrible. From the Pokemon battle pets to the loss of talents to help the moron players, it's terribad. And dungeons challenges that give you gear with NO STATS?! So you want me to do challenges to get pretty gear with no stats? No.

Fucking Kung Fu Pandas? Seriously? And no main boss? Yay... PvP will be central to the expansion, Horde vs Alliance after they spent 3 expansions removing that aspect from the game. Awesome.

The wife and I have had enough for now. This really seems like a horrible move from top to bottom. I can only believe the game is being pushed to it's last death throws to get everyone ready for the Titans MMO. Or maybe Cata was SO bad they need to move on ASAP to get this expansion done with.

And, why release expansion news now? Before the end boss of the current expansion is even defeated? I *WAS* a raider until that news. Now why should I try and work on defeating Deathwing when that will all be old news shortly. If they released the news DURING my attempts on Deathwing, I'd understand, but I haven't even seen him yet. Hyping the next big thing before the current big thing even happens is somewhat retarded.

Every aspect of WoW has been getting to and defeating that "End Boss". That was the drive for raiders. Now what do we have goal wise? I am sure the PvP fans are happy but I play for the PvE and all I got out of this was Pokemon and Kung-Fu Panda 3. I hope Jack Black isn't doing the voice overs. :(

I just got back from BlizzCon I had a good time. I played WoW Panda once, played diablo 3 PVE twice, played diablo 3 pvp twice, played DOTA twice and starcraft 2 heart of swarm campaign mode once.

I extremely enjoyed DOTA, Diablo 3 and hEart of the swarm, but the art work for the panda area is really dope and nice asian music. all in all, lots of good titles to look forward too.
 
Looks like the Annual Pass thing is starting now, I got an email from Blizz just a few mins ago stating that if I sign up for the WoW Annual Pass, I will get Diablo 3 for free.
 
The gear with no stats thing sounds a bit dumb, it would be one thing if they finally did some graphics upgrades (i like the cartoony style but come one give us some nicer textures and skins).

I'm not interested int he panda at all, but the monk class sounds interesting and the new continent could be fun. I am guessing end game is fighting faction leaders, not a pvp battle.

I'm in again, not crazy excited but still going to give it a try. WoW is 2.8/4 for me so far. I've had a stupid number of hours of entertainment, and plenty of boredom.

I'm still mad they are removing the carrier from SC2. I mean it sucked, but its a carrier!!!

What do you mean "starting now"? It started back in October. I only have about 9 months left before my annual pass is completed.

Just so folks know they lock your ability to cancel your account during the annual pass. You can change the frequency of renewal (to better manage your costs) but you can't remove your final form of payment without adding another one and you can't cancel the renewal process entirely. You can add game time cards and they will extend your existing subscription, but unless it's extended beyond the end of your annual pass completion date you still won't be able to cancel your subscription.

This isn't anything that was unexpected, but I figured itemizing it out a bit might assist folks who aren't aware of how it is implemented.

Also, for those who don't know, if you purchase the Collector's Edition of Diablo III after signing up for the annual pass then you will receive 4 months of WoW game time as compensation for not needing a copy of Diablo III.

EDIT: Here's a screenshot depicting the "Cancel" button being disabled. The block of text is what you see when you mouse over it. The screenshot also shows you when your annual pass is completed:

Diablo, SC, and WC2 I agree were awesome with the art and writing. Too bad it went down the crapper with the SC2 story. I hope he does not mess up the Diablo 3 lore/story like he did with SC2.
