Hi,
I have 2 disks in Raid 1 on this card. On the PCB there are 8 LEDs in a row for the disks (named cr2 to cr9), and one separate LED (named cr1) in the corner. During boot, just after the BIOS messages for the card, the cr1 and the cr4 and cr5 connected to the HDDs start to blink at a regular interval. When there is HDD activity they look like normal activity LEDs with irregular on bursts, then a second or so after the activity stops they go back to regular blinking. Is this normal? I have never used RAID cards before and have no experience. I can't find anything in the manual about this. It seems reasonable that there should be some kind of heartbeat on the card (like cr1 LED), but heartbeat on every one (of the possibly 8) LEDs for the connected HDDs? But I am sure someone with more experience than me can tell me directly if this is normal behavior for RAID cards. Sorry for the long text for a simple question.
