*bleep*-ing sapphire.

i recently bought an x800pro toxic second hand, and when i recieved it i found that it was damaged. so, seeing as the card cant be more than a couple of months old, i decided i would RMA it to sapphire.

i just called the USA phone number for sapphire, and to my suprise they dont accept RMAs from individuals (you have to ship back to the vendor and they RMA). i have RMAd to pny before, and there were no problems, so i dont really understand what sapphire's problem is. have any of you guys successfully RMAd a sapphire card back to them? if so, how did you do it?

im really hoping i dont have a $450 doorstop sitting on my desk.

If you bought it second hand, then the person who you bought it from is at fault. They must return it to the vendor.

Maybe, even if it's not the seller's fault, he would agree to RMA the card on your behalf I you pay all the expenses (shipping, etc.).

That would definately be the route to take if his heat is as excellent as you say. That's assuming afterall, the he/she purchased the card new.

its just that i think sapphire should honor the warranty no matter whose hands the card is in. ::sigh:: i guess i will see what this guy is willing to do.
