Has anyone played this game? Im thinking about buying it at Lik-Sang imported but not sure too much about it and whether or not its good. Is it a hack and slash or more rpg?

I never liked the Bleach games (PSP), I got them, but I like the art so there...

I've heard otherwise. From what I've read, the single player fighting mechanics are solid, and it's what Dust Strikers should've been. However, the card system in online multiplayer can make matches somewhat very unbalanced.

I can't speak for the DS version, but if it is a port of the PSP version of the game, it is pretty cool. The 2D cell-shading art in that one is awesome, the fighting mechanics are simple enough to get a hand on easily, and there are some nifty special moves. My only complaint is there aren't enough characters.

Is Bleach DS even slated for a US release? I downloaded a 4 minute video of it from gamespot, and there's so much Japanese text that I don't know how importable it will be. I mean I'm sure you could figure out the basic mechanics, but it looked heavy on story.

I don't think there is going to be a launch in the US anytime soon, much to my dismay. There are walkthroughs with everything translated.

The game was made by Teasure, so if any of you guys are fans of theirs, you might want to check this out.

That's why I'm interested - I love 2D fighters and I love Treasure games. Thing is, half the fun of Treasure is the absolutely fubar translations...

the PSP one was meh. Its only fun for about an hour, and that's IF you are a fan of the source material. I was bored with it the 2nd day I had it.

If you have a Fry's nearby.. you can pick up this import title for $50.00.

Great game. Similar to the guilty gear series in fighting mechanics.
Definitely another solid Treasure title.

If you want to fight your buddies who dont own it.. they can play via download.

I have the DS Bleach game, it is very very nice. It is a (up to) 4player fighting game, your character can be on one of 2 planes (so you can jump back and forth). It is pretty hectic and the bottom screen is used to select special cards (which either boost your attack/power or harm your opponent in some way). It is very fast and hectic, which is a trademark of all Treasure made games. I highly recommend it (and you can play online with it too). I doubt this will ever come to the states.
