I have searched and searched and tried numerous sites for fixes but none have worked so far. If i try any driver newer than 6.7's i get a bsod when windows is loading. I have a DFI UT Nf4 Ultra-D board with a connect3d x1900gt. I have tried everything i can find. tried omegadrivers and regular ones. Tried doing small fixes that wont work. I am pretty sure that my motherboard drivers are current. If any one has this problem and has fixed it id appreciate the help. Ive posted on other sites too.
 
What Windows are you running? Is the OS fully updated? Do you have the most recent BIOS for your motherboard?

What happens when you try safe mode? Does it happen to hang on the same file during boot every time? Are you using safe mode to uninstall drivers and revert back to 6.7, or are you using a backup/restore feature or program, such as Windows Restore?

More than anything, I think the way DFI hacked up the PCIe slots on that motherboard might be one of the reasons for this issue, perhaps in conjunction with a change in the 6.7+ Cats.

I would suggest double checking DFIs downloads, and make sure you have the most recent BIOS. Also, you might want to try replacing the x1900GT with any other ATI card, any cheap one, -for diagnostic proposes. The Cats you have installed will work the same across all supported ATI cards so if it does boot without the BSOD, then I would imagine you've got a compatibility issue with your x1900GT and something else.
 
Im Running Windows Xp, Yest it is uptodate and ill check to see if i have the newest bios but im pretty sure i do.
 
Are you overclocking, if so, go back to stock clocks and see what happens, although i don't see how it can be overclocked when installing new drivers.

My old GF3 would black screen on bootup with certain o/c speeds.
 
ive tried safemode and it works in safe mode ive done everything but in regular mode it just wont do anything. It sounds like the computer it self is acutally booting and loading and in windows just not getting any video signal.
No it is not oced.
 
Do you have ATI tool, Rivatuner, or any other video utilities installed? If you do, set thier in program options (in safe mode) to not start up with windows, and make sure they do not have shortcuts in the Start Up folder.

Sometimes installing new drivers can screw with the initializations those utilities take. -Such as automatically disabling ATI services.

Also, have you ran any programs that have the capability to load a new BIOS onto video cards?
 
nope everything is uninstalled just the single cat file that you get from ati.com i have nothing 3rd party installed
