Blackberry for network administration

My boss is giving me a Blackberry device to "play" with for a few weeks. He would like me to be able to show him what I, as a network admin, can use it for other than email. I am new to the Blackberry having not had one for myself before other then installed them for users and some basic id10t errors. I know there are several apps out there for remote AD administration, Telnet/SSH, and remote desktop.

What are some of your suggestions/favorites for some great uses of the "crackberry" for a network admin or an IT shop.

FYI - We are mainly a Windows 2000 AD shop, soon to be 2003. All Cisco networking gear.

The most important thing to do is get a BES server. They are costly but make the blackberry really worth it. You can then browse your local LAN from the BB. I work as a developer/IT and have one and at this point couldn't do without it.

Email is a big one.. with 40+ servers, 20+ locations and who knows how many processes running on our AIX box we need constant updates on uptime and status. So email is the biggest.

Telnet is alright on them.. even with the BES you'll have to grab/buy an app that does the telnet.

The browser you get when you have a BES is nice too. We wrote some handy web utilities that the blackberry can access and use for some unix stuff.
 
Thank you for you reply. Oh yeah, forgot to mention that. We are already using Blackberries for many users in the company and a BES server is already in place.
