Black Screen after Vista loading bar?

I've been dealing with this issue for about 3 days now. I dusted out my PC and when i came back upstairs to hook everything back up I got this problem. My computer loads fine until it comes to the screen before the welcome/login screen. The bar scrolls from left to right for a few seconds and then when it would usually bring up the password screen, it just goes black. There is still a signal to the monitor but nothing is shown on screen. I've tried all the safemode options but it hangs at a certain file that i can't remember right now. I recently installed the new nvidia drivers but I got it to boot before I dusted my case out. Any Ideas to try?
