Maybe a stupid question but I've been out of loop for a while. Basically I'm trying to buy a second hand DVD burner and most of the offers I get are of black version. Or when you open DVD Burners section at Newegg all the drives are black.

Is it because nowadays there are much more black or darker cases then it used to so to accompany them or it doesn't really matter and black drive wouldn't look stupid on a case like this?

So basically should I try to look for beige or white burner or or just get the much more widespread black one?

Have you read the description of the black drives? Some will come with a white face, which will open up your options for white/beige drives.
