Black Friday

What are you looking for in a computer? What do you do with your computer? What's your current computer?

When you say computer, do you mean a laptop or an actual workstation? It's the best time of year to get a cheapo laptop, the kind that you use to surf the web and do limited application work. It all depends what your budget is for this "computer" is.

just another sales day, with some stuff on sale cheap.
the best time to buy a computer is when you have the cash in hand and you find great deals on what you actually need. my 2cents

Black Friday deals are mostly over hyped. The sales generally aren't any better than any other time.

God yes, I know people who buy stuff just because its on sale, regardless of whether they need it or not.

"Oh, its on sale, might as well buy it now and use it in the far future."

Black Friday is mostly hype for retailers to blow out "fire sale" remaining inventory to make room for the new year shipments.

As far as computer sales go I would say the deals are no better than any other time of the year.

i WOULD like to point out that i bought Dirt 2 for 4.99, Metro 2033 for $9.99 and Bat man Arkasylum for $9.99 on cyber weekend. LOL

Thats about $120.00 worth of games for $24 bucks. I also bought another 4G of G-skill PC1600 Rip Jaw ram for $49 (normally $59) the same weekend.

Lap tops..were going for a steal! So were TVs...toms hardware has an excellent column they do on what the best specials are.

In Canada all the retailers advertise Black Friday sales but they are exactly the same as any other sales day. The retailers just count on the general public not knowing what US Black Friday is really like.
