Black Cube (first project/log)

I'm calling this DONE(almost)

So i think i have what will work for me... it came out pretty decent for my first run i think... encouraging enough for me to want to do more! but before that, here are some pics of the cube together up and running...

box running on my desk

and the same image with the lights off

here is the cube from the front, lights are off, with the UV going...
cubefrontdarkuv.jpg

The interesting part i wasnt expecting was this front fan, when the UV lights are on is basicly transparent... it acts like a little window, now im glad i spend the time sleeving everything and cleaning up the wires...
here is a closer shot of the cube with the UV going in the light.

and the same images with the lights off...

and on image with the system running with all the UV lights off...

Here you can see the coolant getting sloshed around a bit in the res, this is a very nice effect when combined with the UV.

finally the whole thing up and running... (including the required evangeline lily)

So thats all there is! the only thing i have left to do is to give it a good cleaning, you can see if you click the full sized images that there is dust and fingerprints on it from where i was working with it. I am just waiting on my acrylic cleaning/polishing stuff to come in the mail but im excited! this came out great for my first run... based on the results im hoping for many more to come!

Thanks for the interest and feed back it helped keep me motivated, any final questions/comments always welcome!

That just looks amazing! Is this your first time bending the pelxi like that? It looks perfect.
