Does any1 have, or seen pictures with a black acrylic side panel? I would like to use it on my case, ut i wanna see what it looks like.

Does it show lights inside the case well? At night.

And in the day? Can you see anything inside?

I have very dark brown acrylic side panels and you can see the lighting inside somewhat, but it dims it quite a bit. Black would not be transparent at all. You would have to go with smoked grey.

The pictures juventuscadillac posted, shows a black acylic panel. And it does show light through, but i would like to to show more though. BAH! i might just go with clear.

they look black, but if you order black acrylic, it is opaque and won't let light through. I just checked on USplastics to confirm this.

there are a number of different tints you can go with. A smoked acrylic can still let light through but look black.

Think a sharpie might look kinda sloppy, but how about some car windo tint? Most shops that carry it have it from very light all the way to limo tint, and it should be pretty easy to mount to a clear acrylic. Haven't seen it done yet, but it would'nt cost very much to try it out I'm thinking.

I have custom made smoked acrylic side panels on my lanbox (I cut them a bit small because these were just to test the fit and look, not the final version - need to frost the logo on the final version also, this one I just etched the lines)

That kinda thing what you're looking for?

I don't think that window tint will work on acrylic. I had considered this very thing but all of the window tinting that I checked into said it was for glass only and specified it was not for acrylic. I'm not really sure why though.

BTW, USplastics has the best prices on 1/8" tinted acrylic that I could find. I recently bought 3 24"x24" 1/8" thick pieces of brown tinted acrylic from them and it was a lot less than I could find it for anywhere as their shipping was very reasonable.

Smoke tinted acrylic comes in 10% and 20% Light Transmission flavors... The 20% is a very light grey that lets most colour through, and the 10% looks absolutely black when no internal lights are on.

Have you looked at possibly going with a lightly smoked?

Or, maybe even an "etched" look? Like, if you take a clear panel, and rub it with a fine-grit sandpaper. It will give you that "frosted" look. Not "BLACK", but it would be opaque.
