bitTorrent router help

This is a bit of a selfish one sorry because I need personal help with this issue so others may not find this thread helpful. I have the Netgear DG834G and use bitcomet. The speeds i get are abysmal. usually 2 - 10 kb/s, never more. I heard about this port forwarding thing for p2p or something but i dont know anythign about it. i can get into my router options by going to a website http://192.168.0.1 and then i enter the username and password but after that im stuck. can someone tell me what option to look for in netgear set up and then what to type in? sorry to be a pain. thank you so much for any help, im crippled with downloads till this is fixed.

Why not just call Netgear and ask them for help forwarding whatever port your client wants forwarded to it. Pretty sure their tech support could walk you through it quickly
