BitFenix Prodigy Mini-ITX Case

I'm bumping this thread because I'm interested to upgrade my NAS case. I currently have 6 x 3.5" drives and 1 SSD. I plan to add 2 extra drives and another SSD. I'm wondering if a multi-mount 3.5" bracket will fit fine with 2 drives into 5.25" bay? Thanks for your advice.

How are you planning on doing that? You can only fit, as far as I know, one 3.5 drive into a 5.25 bay.

The 2.5 SSDs are easy since there's little pockets on the side panel for them. Honestly, it seems like this isn't the case for you since you need a lot of 3.5 bays; maybe consolidate them into a few multi terabyte drives?

Here's a link to just one of at least a handful of dual 3.5" drives to one 5.25" bay mounts:

I think the only one of those suggestions I'd agree with is the second one. This is the case I'd buy if I decided to go underwater. I'd stick a rad in the front, and lose the 5.25 bay.
The bay can be removed already...

White Prodigy is in stock at Newegg and I finally broke down and ordered one. Gonna check it out and see if I like it and if I do then will be doing a full watercooling build with most likely a GTX 690 or 7990.

Ah, I completely forgot about those!! I could really use a few of them. :)
Ya. :) If Fractal would build an Array double stacked (12 drives), I would be in paradise. The drive cage design is ideal for cooling the disks. Imagine a baby like that with a raid controller to handle the extra 6 disks + 2 SSD's.

This model for the same price as the one I posted earlier has a product image showing it with dual 3.5" HDDs mounted:

I like these because if used properly you may be able to remove the 3.5"HDD bays below the 5.25" bay to get better airflow from the front fans...

The top disk is not mounted properly, should be flipped so it fits properly into 5.25" bay. :)

Scrapped some parts together for this rig for my girlfriend to play minecraft lol

Recently got a 5.25" drivebay adapter for my two drives and can attest to how well they work for these kinds of builds.

Though a bit more pricey, I ended up getting the OWC kit because they had specific parts for 3.5"+SSD together as one kit. Removing the 3.5" bays in a Shuttle box makes all the difference in the world.

jinzane, how are you getting air in there with that solid front piece?

fIRST OFF..i KNOW i'M LATE TO THE PARTY.. jinzane..love your build, thinking outside the box.
