There's a reason litecoin and eth are on the rise. Don't know if it's worth trading alt to btc to ltc/eth to coinbase to $$$. Lots of fees going this route as well.

bitcoin is at 1950???? ether is at 130. i have yet to pay more then $1 for fees all seams good

I pretty much use Litecoin to move my funds around now. Bitcoin became crypto gold to me recently. It's good for a store of value. But waiting on it really sucks. If altcoins weren't in a bubble, I'd probably convert a majority of my Bitcoin into them. Maybe one day we'll see SegWit and LNs on Bitcoin, but until then...

Ethereum and Litecoin having direct outlets to USD via Coinbase is big too. Short of merchant adoption, Bitcoin is starting to become obsolete for daily transactions.
