You'll be fine...im running 3 6970s on a 3x120 rad...load temps hit 60-65c under load with just 3 low speed fans.
Thanks, that's pretty re-assuring.

i know bitcoin is tied to core rather than memory---but litecoin is best with a certain ratio?

Cypriot money
yes, and the ratio varies depending on the card. for a 7970 it's .57
How much hash you gonna be putting out Lorien?
I'm hoping my Antec 750w can handle these 2 7970s.... :/
Dude lol, no. I appreciate the effort but that's just a bragging chart that is not really kept up to date. I know this 'cause I was one or THE first people to link that here (some of the 6970 entries there I wrote them to the wiki myself lol). What I need is a mini guide to setup guiminer/cgminer/diablominer or whatever miner is the more popular and established today.
Or were you trolling me linking to the Nvidia section of the comparison chart? If so, you got me![]()
I am running two 6970 at 1GHz on a Seasonic 650w gold. Only when the second card is running does the fan even turn on.
Where did you get this? looking for 6950 tuning info.
Depends on how long it takes the network to confirm your transaction (i.e. add it to the block chain)
fake edit: Holy shit, I still remember this stuff even after nearly 2 years of not mining or having anything to do with bitcoins.
I've had it take a few hours, so no don't worry too much
I really wonder what will happen if and when Butterflylabs ever ships their ASIC line of products. Should raise the difficulty substantially, as well as make gpu mining completely unprofitable. But they keep delaying, shits driving me mad.
There is absolutely no reason for them to actually ship, as opposed to mine themselves, on any working product they have.
notroll is closed for new people, yes.
Lorien, Here, for miners / settings. Not all miners/settings are covered though.
I would advise against Crossfire. Complexity tends to create issues.
However:
1) Register a fresh worker on your pool's website
2) Set the new card up with cgminer settings as you did the first as a new worker utilizing the username/pw that you just made for it on the website
I am about to get my 2nd 7950 tomorrow. Never used SLI or crossfire before. This is my current cgminer setting.
cgminer --scrypt -o http://coinotron.com:8322 -u worker -p 1 --thread-concurrency 24576 --shaders 1792 --intensity 13 --worksize 256 -g 1
What should I do to get the 2nd car going? Can I run them independently?
