If you're in the US, you don't even need to get gift codes. Send it straight to Amazon Payments and you can cash it out.

There is nothing worth buying on Amazon Canada. It's literally like 5% of the selection of Amazon.com. Plus I get much less for my money than playing the rates on the exchange and getting real cash in my bank account. You can't pay for electricity with gift cards either.
 
Anyone here mining on an HD7970? Also Could somebody post some FS FT stuff for me I do not have enough post to make a new post in the for sale section. And spamming for post in order to post is just not my style.

If you go back in the last page or two, there is a lot of information regarding 7970 mining. You don't have to spam for posts. I make about 20 posts a day just on normal topics and threads out of interest. What are you trying to sell?
 
I saw some stuff about the 7970 but not a lot I would like to know what people are getting from theirs. I have two 7970 using Diablominer at 710GHash/s each 1125/425 1.110v no flags.
Anyone getting better.

For sale I have 2 GTX570 ASUS reference cards. An ASUS GTX580 Direct CUII and a Galaxy GTX460 768MB. Will sell for BTC or 2 HD7970's if your interested or would like to post for me.

Anyone here have a mining farm 5GHash/s or greater?

Are you sure about your core speed?

I'm a bit skeptical of that hashing rate at that core speed. I haven't seen anyone come anywhere close to that.

I'm at the same core speed (my memory won't go below 685, though...looks like you need 2+ cards to get it to drop below that) and am right around 670MH/s.
 
bitcoins hit $3 and my break even point was ~$4 even at $5 or $6 it was hardly worth the effort of maintaining.

I have a handful of 5830 left but that's about it.
 
Parja You are correct my core speed is 1147 I forgot I raised it. Diablo reports 710.1/695.3(jumps around) But my pool reports the card anwhere from 675 to 760MHash/s. I will post pics if you like. What miner do you use?

Kardonxt sorry trying to get more density from my cards trying to sell off the 5770 and 5830 I have .. if you had 5870 or 5970 I would take them.

OK, so 695 is your average at 1147. Still, that's pretty damn good.

I'm using Diablo as well. It was the first to support GCN and is definitely the best.

There's a GCN kernel for Phoenix, but so far it doesn't beat Diablo.
 
Good to know. I was hoping that my cards were good? Need numbers to compare. What all do you have going Parja?
 
Btw You should be able to adjust the mem on the single 7970 do you have MSI Beta 11 and have OC mode set to 2 (no powerplay)?

Nearing 20Ghash this month.
 
I run my MSI 7970 at 978/300 ( i dont think my memory is actually underclocking ) 1.03V -- i havent pushed it to see where the bleeding edge is, i was able to mine for hours at .95v but it wasnt 24x7 stable. I am forced to undervolt otherwise my 7970 overheats.

My system power draw is 408watts with 5870 @ 885/300 1.1v and 7970 978/1375 1.03V and 6550 @ 700mhz

total system hash is 998mh average. later this week will move my 5870 to a different rig to gain the benefit of SDK 2.1
 
20 Ghash is quite impressive. I am at 7.1 Ghash average. Will be at 10 in a week when the other 4 7970's get here. Then I think i will just stay around there. You going to go larger than 20?

So what's the answer to this one? I didn't have much luck getting 2.1 working on a Win7 x64 box. If there's a driver/SDK combo out there that works well, I'd love to hear about it.
 
The 5970 just arrived and I got 2x 5870's a day ago.
I have the 5870's together in one boxen and they are managing a combined 850 MH/s at 1GHz core with 1.2V.
The 5970 is on 925MHz core and is doing 800MH/s.
I was closer to 1GHz with the 5970 earlier but I had a random restart so I will try and push it back up to 950-975 tomorrow.
The stats in the Pool I am in say about 2300 MH/s total.
I will report back with in a week or so with average BTC per day so I can make sure this pool is decent.

Hmm, your cards are capable of quite a bit more than that.

For reference, my 5870s at 1000 MHz core/350 MHz memory do about 460 MH/s each using cgminer with flags of -I 8 -v 2 -w 256. And I believe I'm using the 2.4 SDK, so I should be capable of a bit higher than that even.
 
I'll try those flags out in the morning.
Might give the 2.4 SDK a try too.
I wacked the cards in, selected a rough overclock and left them running headless.
Still got a lot of tweaking and learning to do :)

Nah, stay on the 2.1 SDK if you've got it working.

Hmm, just tried the 2.1 install again and got it working. Up to about 466 MH/s on those 5870s now.
 
I am on ancient drivers and my 5870 still does the same 460MH/s @ 1000MHz as Parja. Driver updates don't do much for mining usually.
 
What voltages are you guys running on your 5870s to get 1000mhz? I am stuck around 900mhz core on my 5870s on the stock voltage. Anything higher and my miners die out in cgminer after a few hours.

I've got two 5870s that do 1000 at stock voltages. They're the old unbranded system pull ones from Dell (I think) with the extra long bracket on them. Those suckers are rock stars. And I've got two other XFX 5870s that don't have adjustable voltage that do 980.

Depends on the cards. I have 5 Gigabyte 5870s that did 1000 on stock volts (good since it has no voltage control). My others (XFX and ASUS) won't do that. XFX one needs 1250mV.
 
You can install 2.1 SDK on top of the 12.1 Drivers. I did it with an XP miner and a Win 7 x64 miner.
 
Weird problem using GUI miner on 2 systems. I went to move some miners to another pool and now all of my miners are dying with an "unexpected error:" message. Until I stopped and restarted them with the new pool configs all had been mining away happily. Moving them back to the original config hasn't changed anything.

Move to PHOENIX miner ... had the same trouble.
 
I had similar issues to brycejones and I switched to Phoenix with '-k phatk VECTORS BFI_INT AGGRESSION=12 WORKSIZE=256 FASTLOOPS=false" flags and it's producing the same MH/s as it used to.
All my boxen were off or at the desktop this morning and after I set them back up they wouldn't function with OpenCL client's :/

Its a problem with GuiMiner and Poclbm. I had to install Java and switch my farm all to Diablominer. Everything is smooth now. Wish some one would have reported this yesterday morning. Took me a bit to figure it all out.

I think a lot of people were caught be surprise. It appears to only have become a problem if you stopped and restarted the client. The first responses were to tell people to check their configs they must be doing something wrong.
