I am going to put toghether an h20 rig soon with a tdx, mcw60(on a new x1900,not the 78 in sig), and I want it as quiet as possible. A BIP3 could be a PITA to fit, but supposedly they can have 3 fans on low rpms handle anything. But if a BIP2 could handle all the heat @ low rpms anyway ,except maybe during heavy load moments where I might have to turn up the fans I might aswell go w/ that b/c then I could easily fit that in my case.

O and also, I have a friend whos selling both an eheim 1250 and a d5, which would you choose for quiet operation w/ the parts listed?

For quiet operation either get a more expensive PA 120.2 or PA 120.3 or get a GT 240 or GT360 which is far cheaper IMO. If you can fit a 120x3 rad always get that over a 120x2. As for using a BIP with low RPM fans...don't know off hand.

...why does everyone always forget about the MCR220-QP and the MCR320-QP?

Better than the BIP's, cheaper than the GT's, and with performance that's (supposedly) on-par with the GT's

b/c I have a friend willing to sell me his BIP2 for very little, so I'm wondering if its better to just go w/ the BIP2 if it can handle my rig (I now have an x1900 instead of the vid in my sig) wit low rpm fans. That also means that I can keep my current case, because I can mount it ontop. But if I must get a 3 fan rad to get quiet performance then I will, so could some1 plz tell me if the BIP2 will get the job done while still being quiet.

It depends how little. A brand new BIP 2x goes for just over 30 bucks.

Petra, you don't do canada orders? :( :(

I'd say go w/ a swiftech or black ice gt rad. for fans if you have the room some 38mm fans would be nice to give a bit more pressure (i'm using medium speed panaflos on a gt 360... undervolted to 7v) or some yate loons
